Resident in Counseling
Omega Erdelatz
I enjoy working collaboratively with clients to set goals that resonate deeply with their individual needs.
Hi, I’m Omega.
Hi! I’m Omega, currently completing my Residency in Counseling in Virginia, under the supervision of Danielle Johnson. I consider it an honor and privilege to come alongside my clients to support them in their journey toward well-being and wholeness. With a strong belief in the relational nature of healing, my desire is to create a warm, supportive environment where clients can feel seen, valued, and understood.
Do you find yourself longing for more – deeper connections with others, more meaningful life experiences, more joy and peace? If so, you are not alone. I enjoy working collaboratively with clients to set goals that resonate deeply with their individual needs. Whether this includes exploring and processing current and past experiences, providing support through depression, anxiety, grief, and challenging life transitions, or assisting individuals in breaking free from limiting thought and behavior patterns, I firmly believe that hope, healing, and change are possible.
My background & approach
My professional background includes education and training in providing trauma- informed care as well as specialized training in interconnectedness of the mind and body. Did you know that scientific research in neurobiology tells us that we are not destined to remain stuck in negative cycles of thinking, feeling, and relating but that our brains can actually be “re-wired” as we encounter and savor new experiences? My therapeutic orientation incorporates this exciting concept as well as interpersonal and attachment-based approaches, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Internal Family Systems. I also enjoy utilizing techniques from mindfulness and acceptance-based strategies and integrating faith and spirituality where desired by clients. I am currently providing counseling for older adolescents and adults of all ages.
When I am outside the counseling room, I enjoy spending time with friends at local coffee shops (my current favorite beverage is an oat milk brown sugar cortado!), working my way through my “must-read” list, traveling, and exploring my creative side through various artistic endeavors.
